The co-operation with The Danish Forest and Landscape Research Institute, DFLRI has been running for some years now. Projects with introduction of microclover in existing sports fields are under evaluation and results will be published in due time. A new project with assessment of saved Nitrogen on fields with microclover has been established in 2005.

Microclover can most likely decrease the nitrogen input on turfgrass areas. There are also indications that problems with garden chafer larvae may be smaller in turf with white clover. Turf with microclover generally provides a greener lawn during dry periods in the summertime, and the need for irrigation may therefore potentially be reduced.
